YOGA

A 500-hour YOGA ALLIANCE certified Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, and meditation teacher, currently traveling around the world. Follow me on Instagram to see where I am teaching at the moment. I offer a variety of classes in English and German, from chakra-based vinyasa flows to elemental yin classes. By targeting specific meridians in both yin and yang practices, the body is harmonised as well as strengthened on both physical and energetic levels. 

Ashtanga is a physically demanding, dynamic practice synchronizing breath and movement to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. With its set sequence and many vinyasas, Ashtanga is lovely for building core strength and toning the body.

Vinyasa yoga, often described as a moving meditation, is a dynamic breath-focused practice. This practice utilizes sun salutations to link creatively sequenced poses into a continuously flowing organic whole. The Vinyasa experience builds inner heat and develops strength and flexibility in equal proportion. 

Yin yoga is a passive practice involving variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia. It stretches and strengthens connective tissue around the joints, restoring and re-energising both body and mind.

Private classes can be extremely beneficial for your yoga practice, regardless of your level.

Whether you have recently discovered yoga, or are an experienced practitioner looking for some hands-on guidance advancing into more challenging asanas - I will create classes that cater for your individual needs, and hopefully, help you achieve your goals.

MEDITATION

Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts.

It can be used to increase awareness of yourself and your surroundings, and cultivate a better understanding of your mind, and thought patterns. Studies have found that it can reduce stress, control anxiety, promote emotional well-being, enhances self-awareness and improve sleep.  As a Veda Centre certified meditation teacher, I teach a variety of meditations including:

  • Present Moment Awareness meditations

  • Calm Focus meditations

  • Energised Mind Body meditations

  • Transcendental meditations

A Six Week Online Course

This six week one-on-one online coaching program will provide you with a basic understanding of a variety of different meditation styles, and give you the tools to cultivate a regular meditation practice, based on your mind type and needs. 


Session 1: Introductory session

Session 2: Present Moment Awareness Meditations

Session 3: Calm Focus Meditations

Session 4: Energized Mind Body Meditations

Session 5: Transcendental Meditations 

Session 6: Creating your Personalized Meditation Program 


The program consists of 6 sessions, each ranging between 45 mins to 1 hour, and one 30 minute follow up session (approx. one week after completing Session 6).

After each session I will provide you with home practice activities and personalised resources to support your daily practice. These will include podcasts, articles or additional meditations.

SOUND THERAPY 

 

Healing with sound dates back as far as Ancient Greece, and has since grown in popularity as a holistic therapy. Sound can help in facilitating brainwave state shifts through using entrainment. Entrainment enables the synchronisation of fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency with which the brainwave can attune to. Through using rhythm and frequency, human brainwaves can be entrained making it possible to down-shift the normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur). 

As a qualified sound therapist, I offer a variety of different sonic experiences using Himalayan singing bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs and therapeutic percussion. 

 

Sound Baths 

Part meditation, part listening exercise, sound baths are healing musical performances played for participants while they lay on the floor in supported savasana (corpse pose) and let the waves of sound wash over them.

Research suggests that sound bathing calms the often overstimulated human nervous systems and balances the subtle (energetic) body.  Sound bathing is said to work both the physical and the subtle body to help heal anxiety, depression, insomnia, and chronic pain and to deepen meditation as well as spark creativity. Intrigued? Sound baths can be booked as an individual or private group sessions. 

Sound Scapes

A soundscape is a story, a piece of art created using sound. These interactive group sessions engage the participants and foster collaboration, communication and creativity. Each group member is actively engaged in the creation of the soundscape and contributes through their playing of a chosen instrument. This sonic experience is a wonderful opportunity for team building, social integration, and bonding, well-suited for adults and children. 

Soundscapes are only available as private group sessions, due to the nature of the activity.
